Logging into BANG

How do I login to BANG? Login to BANG here: bang.tutordoctor.com

What is my BANG username? Your username for BANG is the same as your Big Apple username. If you are unsure of your username please contact your local office. 

I am logging into BANG for the first time, why won't my Big Apple password work? For your protection, your Big Apple password did not move to BANG with your username. Click Forgot Password and use the email associated with your Big Apple account to set your password for BANG.  

I did not receive an email from BANG to reset my password after clicking "Forgot Password." What do I do? Please contact your local office to set a new password for you.  

General

What browsers work with BANG? At this time, we recommend using Chrome and Firefox. Mac users please use Firefox. 

Will BANG work on my mobile device? Yes! You can access BANG on your mobile device using Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.  

Why do I need to set my preferences when I log into BANG for the first time? Tutor Doctor is a global company and BANG will be used by tutors all over the world! To make sure that BANG works for you, it is important to set some information about your location in the system, such as Time Zone and Currency.  

I accidentally selected the wrong time zone when setting up my account. How do I change it? You are unable to change your time zone once it is set in BANG. Please contact your local office for support.  

Do I have to complete my tutor bio and upload a profile picture? Your profile photo and bio are a great way to introduce you to new students. Please speak to your local office about the local policy on completing your tutor bio and photo upload.  

Do I have to complete my tutor attributes and special attributes? Yes, your tutor attributes and special attributes are used in matching you with students.  

I work for multiple Tutor Doctor offices. Do I need a separate login for each office? Yes. You will need a separate login to access BANG for each office you work with.  

Student Information 

Where can I find the address of where tutoring is to take place? You can find the tutoring address by clicking My Students>Matched Students, then clicking the Details icon next to the student who's address you would like to view. 

Where can I find the contact details for my student's parent/guardian? Click My Students> Matched Students, then click the Details icon next to the student who's contact details you would like to view. In Details you will find the name, email, and phone number of the parent/guardian and the address where tutoring is to take place.

Where can I find how many tutoring hours my student has left? Click My Students> Matched Students. You will find the total number of hours your students have left under the Remaining Hrs column.  

Booking Sessions

Do I have to integrate my BANG calendar with my personal calendar? No. It isn't necessary to integrate your BANG calendar with your personal calendar. If you don't want to integrate your personal calendar, you can still use your BANG calendar the same way you used your Big Apple calendar. Please note that if you choose to integrate your personal calendar with BANG, all calendar details will be visible to your local office.  

Session Reports

Can I create a session report without scheduling a tutoring appointment in my calendar? No. You need to schedule a tutoring appointment in your calendar to create a session report. Once the tutoring appointment time and date has passed, you will be able to create a session report in the Sessions>Reports>Pending section by clicking the Create Session Report action icon beside the session you want to create a session report for.
